Meet Meghan
While most people living in Fairfield County know of the William Raveis Real Estate Company, not quite as many know Meghan Raveis, the incredible woman and mom of 3 behind the company’s Charitable Fund, whose annual Ride + Walk event coming up on Sunday, October 1st, raises money to support up and coming cancer researchers. While Meghan is as dedicated to her work as they come, she loves biking or hiking in the Aspetuck Land Trust in Weston with her family, dinner at Luigi’s Pizza in Fairfield, and swears by Melotonin to keep her well rested. Some fun facts – she loves Disney World, and recently started abstract painting which she loves. Meghan is warm, authentic, and tenacious and we are so grateful for the incredible impact she has made!

On Sunday, October 1st, many people in Fairfield County (including WestportMoms!) will be at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk participating in the 3rd annual William Raveis Ride + Walk! 100% of donations go to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation which funds top emerging cancer researchers and they promise 100% of the money they receive goes directly to research. Driving around town, you may have begun to notice many new “Hate has no home” signs on lawns, at street corners, and at busy intersections. Recently, a Bedford middle school teacher brought this campaign from Chicago here to Westport, recognizing it’s importance, and the impact even a small town can make.

As we all worry about what our kids will be like when they “grow up,” we can be inspired by Staples high school’s Fashion for a Cause club which brings together students who share a passion for fashion and also the desire to help others.
