It is officially that time of year again when you can load up the car with your little ones and head to a farm to pick delicious FRESH fruit!! Note: All of the farms have COVID protocols so be sure to check these out in advance and make a reservation if needed!
Westport Moms has created a list of farms in and near Fairfield County that offer pick your own fruits, berries, and vegetables. Strawberries are in season right about now and at the end of the month cherries will also be ready. July is perfect for picking blueberries, raspberries and also peaches. August –October you can pick Apples and pumpkins.

Strawberries are the first to arrive, then blueberries, raspberries, peaches, pears, apples, and pumpkins. Don’t miss the sunflower maze at this 140-year old family farm that has been cared for by six generations. This year, PYO strawberries is open for business mid-June.

Pick your own peaches starting the second week of July, or peruse the farm market for apples and other fresh fruit, veggies, and pies. The kids will love petting, feeding, and interacting with the farm friends in the animal farm, including llamas, goats, sheep, and emus. PYO opens mid-June for the 2020 season.
