Coronavirus restrictions have changed all of our routines, from cancelling spring break trips to kids being out of school for an extended period of time. To help us pass the time productively, our partner Dibico is sharing suggestions, including getting your house in tip-top shape (something they can help with), having an online playdate, planting in your garden and taking an online cooking class.
As we all sit at home, dreams of summer – and reconnecting – keep us going! Though a lot has stopped, families are still sprucing up their backyards and getting ready (hopefully!) for spring and summer entertaining. If you’re considering putting in a swimming pool or spa—or just need to restore what you already have—Haggerty Pools is a family-run company that locals have turned to since 1956.
Welcome to our new normal. I’m a mom of two young boys in elementary school in Westport, CT, and due to a big outbreak of coronavirus here, we’re pretty much on lockdown. Schools and gyms are closed and restaurants are open for pick up/take out only. So, in addition to being a working mom, I’m now a homeschooler of two kids, a speech and occupational therapist, and a music, art, and Spanish teacher. One thing that’s keeping me sane (at least a little?!) during this unprecedented time is MOVEMENT. I am super grateful that it’s almost spring, and the weather is allowing us to get outdoors and PLAY. Even while social distancing, there are so many ways to keep moving!
Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. is happy to offer Telehealth/E-Visits for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, nutrition therapy and clinical social work!! Learn more about how this works from the comfort of your own home!
No doubt about it—these are weird and worrying times. For many regions of our country, coronavirus concerns have led to (or will lead to) school closures. If you’re at home with your kids, please use this social distancing-friendly list for ideas to keep kids engaged (and away from screens for a while).
