Whole Foods 5% Giving Day to Benefit Stepping Stones on January 11th!
On Thursday, January 11th, six area Whole Foods Markets (Danbury, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, Milford, and Westport) will come together to donate 5% of their net sales to support Stepping Stones’ continued work on the Norwalk Foodshed initiative, which is working to support equal access to fresh, healthy foods for all members of our community and important wellness and nutritional messaging.

Meet Heather!
For anyone looking to start 2018 off right, Heather is your girl! A Westport mom of three (including twins!) who loves skiing, sailing, and all things running, Heather started her own Food and Nutrition program, The Food Fix, which helps people with a variety of goals learn how to take control of their diet and body – for the long-term. If taking only three weeks of maternity leave with each child is any indication of her passion for her work, you might also be interested to know Heather runs marathons (mostly) for fun (she’s at 10 now!), swears by R+F lash boost and the Health App by Apple. Despite her passion for her work, she values nothing more than family time, and aims for at least three technology-free family dinners a week to keep everyone connected! This mom’s got it all together, and she’s even offering a special offer for WestportMoms interested in trying her DIY or group program; thank you Heather for helping us kick off the New Year right!

Meet Jimeale!
During the holiday season, when so many of us are looking to give to others less fortunate, or instill in our kids the importance of helping others, Jimeale Heade’s name often comes up. Jimeale is a Fairfield mom with 3 kids (5, 4, and 2) who had a life changing moment when she was volunteering in a Bridgeport school a few years back, and was told there weren’t enough pencils for all of the kids in the class. She took it upon herself to start the Brighter Lives for Kids Foundation, which runs programming in Bridgeport ranging from backpack school supply and toy drives to setting up soccer programs and libraries for those who never had exposure to things so many of us take for granted. In her spare time, she loves skiing, Bonda restaurant and swears by La Mer Cleanser. She also reads the last chapter of every book before the first! Thank you Jimeale for inspiring so many of us to do more in this world!
