New Moms Group – Addressing the Real Issues that Come with Parenthood
Every Other Wednesday: January 10th – June 13th – 10am-11:30am
Bring your baby and connect with other first time mothers. Babies should be between the ages of one month to one year. Group time will include a presentation and a real-deal discussion around a specific topic as well as time for socializing with other mothers and babies.
Topics will relate directly to you and your baby’s well-being and development. These topics include:
- adjustment to parenthood
- separation anxiety
- the baby blues and postpartum depression
- getting baby on a schedule
- time for self-care
- handling advice
- guilt free zones
- sleep issues
- travel with baby
- baby’s development and temperament
- childproofing
- transitioning back to work
Andree Palmgren, a Licensed Professional Counselor, who holds an Ed.M. and M.A. from Columbia University, will lead the group. She has 25 years of experience working as a counselor, parenting coach, and teacher and is also a mom of four.
