What is Homes with Hope? And how you can support this incredible local organization!
Many people locally have likely heard of Homes with Hope and/or the Project Return Luncheon every fall in Norwalk for Homes with Home. But, many may want to know: “What is Homes with Hope?” Homes with Hope has been providing food and shelter to our neediest neighbors in Westport since 1983. The organization provides emergency shelter to men women and families (35 children!) in Westport every night. Through Project Return, on Compo Rd. North, the organization houses 8 young women, aged 18-24, who are trying to get back on their feet after the many challenges one faces in a life without parental influence or positive role models.

Meet Denise!
Meet Denise! Well known for her esteemed interior design firm, D2 Interieurs, Denise has built and designed many homes in Fairfield County, and is respected for her creativity, vision, and of course her laugh! Denise lives in Weston and is mom to two teenage boys, who she loves traveling with to adventurous places including Hong Kong and Costa Rica. Locally, she loves vintage store shopping, a good night with family or friends at Bar Taco, and in another life she would be the singer in a rock-n-roll band! Denise values integrity in her friends, believes being an advocate for your children is critical to their success, and is a pleasure to spend time with, personally and professionally. Her talent reaches beyond Fairfield County into NYC and beyond, and we are lucky to have her in our community.
The book, Pinkalicious, has impacted the lives of countless children in such a positive and joyful way. It is a story that can be read over and over again with easily relatable and amusing characters and illustrations that are both engaging and whimsical. Meet Deb!
For anyone who loves a good story about finding your career path accidentally, meet Deb! Deb (mom to 3 in Westport) became a dance teacher when she offered to assist with her daughter’s dance class years ago. Though her daughter shortly thereafter quit the class, she continued teaching, and never stopped! Deb is now a beloved teacher at The Spot Just Dance in Norwalk who has instilled the love of dance (ballet, hip hop and more) in many over the years. Deb loves nothing more than a round of mini golf with the family, followed by a trip to Saugatuck Sweets, wouldn’t have minded being a Rockstar in another life, and never ate a fresh vegetable before the age of 13! Fun Fact – She also makes over 100 kugels during the Jewish Holidays, and all proceeds from their sales go to a family in need! Deb is open and honest about the ongoing challenges of parenthood, and the value in letting others provide a helping hand! She is also an inspiration for all of us moms out there; just remember, you never know when that next stage in your journey may be just around the corner!!
