A community farm with heart and soul, Wakeman Town Farm offers dynamic children’s and teen’s programs focusing on nature, the environment and sustainable living. A warm and welcoming place to gather and grow, the educational demonstration center connects individuals through seasonal classes, programs and camps for all ages and life stages.
Nurturing young minds, the Wakeman farmstead is dedicated to the development and promotion of sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, community education, and eco-friendly farming.Children have fun while learning about nature through organic gardening, crafting, and seed-to-plate cooking classes, programs and camps, empowering them with an appreciation for local agriculture and animal caring for colorful chickens, fuzzy alpacas and sheep, and playful goats.
Ages 0 -3:
Our Parent and Me Classes promote learning, enhance creativity, and teach social skills in a fun, safe environment. The highlight of this signature program is the hands-on experience visiting our furry and feathered farm friends.
Toddler Sprouts Class offers children a hands-on experience with our animals and gardens and fosters a loving fun environment for children to play, learn and socialize.
Kids & Teens at the Farm
Our Fantastic Farmhands and Jr. Farm Apprentice Program get kids outside connecting with nature, from composting to gardening, growing flowers and veggies, and planting for pollinators.
