Meet Sarah! - Westport Moms

How old are your kids, and how long have you lived in Westport? Penelope is 3.5 and Noah is 1. I’ve lived in Westport for exactly one year!

How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I have spent the last 15+ years becoming an industry expert in pilates, yoga, aerial and transformational coaching. I have led teacher trainings, owned multiple studios in Aspen and CT and performed aerial with top charting artists like Lady Gaga and Lil Kim, I have most recently found myself motivated by working 1:1 with clients worldwide, transforming bodies and lives.

My newest high ticket, 30-day Personalized Transformational Program is rooted in movement and mindset work, where I focus on understanding what success looks like for my clients and curate a customized plan, along with the personalized support and stretch that gets them the results they are desiring. Select graduates of the 30-day program are invited to transition into a longer 6-month long-term support, program Bend Beyond Belief, which centers around rewriting the beliefs holding you back and exceeding your vision of success.
I hold myself to a high standard of excellence in every area of my life and I work to integrate that into the results that each of my clients experience. To start the application process for my transformational program; please email me at [email protected]

What was your best memory from 2021, a strange year we know…Introducing my newborn son to my daughter when we brought him home from the hospital. The look on her face as she met ‘her baby’ melted my heart.

What are you most looking forward to the rest of this year? Continuing to watch my children and their bond grow, reaching more amazing clients and coming out of my own postpartum haze.

What is the best show you have recently (binge) watched? AND what is the last book you read? I am a Bravo fanatic and could not get enough of Real Housewives Ultimate
Girls Trip Ex Wives Club. I also loved the book My Body by Emily Ratajkowski.

What is one food you could not live without? Peanut butter – especially on top of baked goods. Baking is one of my favorite things to do.

What is your greatest fear? Anything bad happening to my babies.

What is your greatest indulgence? I believe in indulgence in general. After recovering from addiction 6 years ago I realized I wanted to really LIVE versus living in fear of having too much of any one thing. Once I realized I could not have alcohol, the world became a much easier place for me to navigate. If something makes me feel good, I figure out a way to have more of it. Eating the thing I love, moving the way I love to move, making extra moments with my kids, more of everything means so much to me.

Which talent would you most like to have? I would love to have a great voice; alas – it’s not the gift I was given!

Which words or phrases do you most overuse? YEAH! You’ve got this!!!! I am a former cheerleader and overuse these phrases in my parenting (which is all the time) and when
teaching (which is all the time). I’m enthusiastic, peppy and supportive by nature and when I witness my kids and clients work hard I can’t help but give them all the encouragement I have (which is a lot!)

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I feel very much like an introvert but come alive when teaching, performing, and helping others. I feel most myself when I’m connecting with someone.

If you weren’t doing what you are today, what might your career path might have been? I would be a therapist or stylist. I think we can all feel better than we believe
and every passion of mine centers around helping people feel their best, whether it’s working from the inside out or the outside in.

If you could travel to one place this next year, where would it be and why? I would love to go to Costa Rica! After breastfeeding for the past year plus I’m ready for a fun adventure with my husband and would love to try surfing, hang out in a treehouse, and wake up on the beach.

If you could live somewhere other than where you do, where would it be? Amsterdam – it’s an idyllic fairytale place that is famous for cheese, one of my favorite foods.

If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted to do, what would it be? Sleep and wake up without an alarm clock, have dinner with my husband, do something fun with my kids, catch up on my favorite shows and move my body.

Are you a morning person, or a night owl? How does sleep fit into your life? I think I am a night owl but between having kids and teaching early in the morning I have trained myself to wake up around 6. I am an incredible sleeper – I close my eyes and I am OUT. However, my daughter comes into our bed around 1 am and it’s debatable whether I’ll walk her back into her room.

What is the first thing you do when you walk in the door after a long day? I change out of my teaching sweatpants into my house sweatpants and take off my bra. It’s truly laughable!

Who is your favorite hero of fiction? Who are your heroes in real life? Given my history I am always inspired by stories of overcoming addiction of any kind. To me, that shift from living one way to living in an entirely different way is proof that anything is possible. I believe we’re all capable of heroism.
