How old are your kids and how long have you lived in Westport/? My son is 9 years old and my daughter is 6! We moved from Laguna Beach, CA to Westport this past August and we are loving it.
How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? Modern Pop was established in Southern California a couple years ago when we couldn’t find a simple ingredient frozen fruit bar for our teething son. When we couldn’t find what we needed at the time I pulled out our blender and began making them myself. We started selling our frozen bars out of a push cart in Laguna Beach, CA and soon started getting phone calls from retailers! What was your best memory from 2020, a strange year we know… My favorite memory was moving into a new home & being closer to our family! Also having a hockey rink in our backyard this winter.
What are you most looking forward to in 2021? Going out to eat and meeting more people in the area.
What is the best show you have recently (binge) watched? Ozark, The Undoing, Queens Gambit
What’s your favorite app right now- for you- and for your kids? I love listening to inspiring entrepreneurial podcasts!
What is one food you could not live without? Mediterranean food!
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? Growing up I lived in a small town in NJ, I had a pot belly pig as a pet named Milton!
If you weren’t doing what you are today, what do you think your career path might have been? Matchmaking professionally, or anything to do with sales and being around people!
If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted to do, what would it be? Massage and spa! All day long.
What was your most memorable family vacation and why? Road Trip!!! Driving with my family from Southern California to Aspen, CO (14+ hours!) to visit my sister and her kids! We stopped in Zion on the way, it was beautiful.
Are you a morning person, or a night owl? How does sleep fit into your life right now? Morning person, but first my Starbucks coffee! I am up by 6am everyday.
What thing has surprised you most about being in the suburbs? How awesome the restaurants are! Westport has some incredible dining options!
What is the first thing you do when you walk in the door after a long day? Greet my dog Harley who jumps up to my face
Who in your life was – or is – the greatest inspiration for what you’re doing today? My mother. She was one of the most inspiring, eccentric, bubbly and fun people I’ve ever known. She always worked really hard at everything she did and I admired her for it. She was the best.
