How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I wasn’t sure what type of law I wanted to practice when I finished law school. I liked going to court but beyond that I wasn’t sure. I interviewed at several different firms and received offers from them, including an offer to work in a family law firm. The partners assured me that I would be able to spend time in court and so I gave it a shot. I have been exclusively practicing family law ever since.
What was your best memory from 2021, a strange year we know…My youngest daughter was born in December 2021 so that was probably my best memory.
What are you most looking forward to this summer and in the months ahead? Hopefully life getting back to normal. It is great to see the kids be able to participate in school, sports and camps normally again and it is also nice to be able to go out and see friends and family.
What is one food you could not live without? Coffee…does that count?
What is your greatest fear? Heights. I will never be the mom taking my kids on a roller coaster or ferris wheel. Good thing my husband is fine with it.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I am the oldest of seven kids
If you weren’t doing what you are today, what might your career path might have been? Maybe a school teacher. I thought that was something I would like to do but decided on law school instead.
Are you a morning person, or a night owl? How does sleep fit into your life? Definitely a morning person. I get a lot of work done in the very early morning before any of my kids get up. By 10pm I am completely exhausted. With three kids, one of whom is still a young baby, sleep is something I don’t get a lot of.
What thing has surprised you most about being in the suburbs? The amount of traffic. It’s crazy trying to get home or anywhere in town.
What is the first thing you do when you walk in the door after a long day? Give my kids a hug. They are still at the age where they come running to the door the minute I get home and want hugs and my undivided attention.
