Meet Dana!! - Westport Moms

How old are your kids and how long have you lived in the area? My two girls are 10 and 12. I have lived in Westport since 1990 (!) and Weston since 2013.

How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I grew up around esthetics and skin care, and loved to use “high end” products from a young age. The mantra I always heard was “take care of your skin, take care of you”, and even though I didn’t understand the purpose of the message then, I truly have an appreciation for it now! Now, I get to incorporate that message, along with medical procedures and technologies everyday. I LOVE coming to work, and I love combining artistry and science with each patient, and giving them a treatment plan unique to them.

What was your best memory from 2021, a strange year we know… As funny as it sounds, traveling the world with the family! We took advantage of decreased crowds in destinations, along with us being cautious, to take trips to Central America, Europe, Mexico, and closer road trips to places like Newport and Watch Hill. I think our kids realized that we are actually pretty fun!

What are you most looking forward to in 2022? We have some more epic travel plans that we are excited about, as well as some fabulous plans for Westport MediSpa.

What is the best show you have recently (binge) watched? Emily in Paris and The Sex Lives of College Girls

What is one food you could not live without? Anything chocolate!

What is your greatest fear? Driving over long bridges

What is your greatest indulgence? My bag and shoe collection. I wear scrubs often at work, and the shoes and bags just make me smile!

Which talent would you most like to have? Play drums like a true bad ass!

Which words or phrases do you most overuse? That’s Bananas!!

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I was born in Israel; they ask where my accent has gone!

If you weren’t doing what you are today, what might your career path might have been? Something creative like writing and Interior Design

If you could travel to one place this next year, where would it be and why? Peru; that was our trip that was “Covid Cancelled” Spring Break of 2020

If you could live somewhere other than where you do, where would it be? Somewhere warm with great restaurants and a beach nearby

If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted to do, what would it be? I’d love a quick romantic get away, with my husband!

Are you a morning person, or a night owl? How does sleep fit into your life? Definitely a morning person. I make a checklist each day, and if it gets past a certain time, things get shunted to the next day

What thing has surprised you most about being in the suburbs? I’ve never lived in a big city, so Westport is my gold standard!

What is the first thing you do when you walk in the door after a long day? Play with my dogs and hug the kids…..in that order

QUICK THIS OR THAT:
At a movie: Candy or Popcorn?
Both!
Cook or order in? My husband is a phenomenal cook, so his cooking 10/10. But if it was left to me, my family would unanimously vote for order in- I have set the microwave on fire.
Cake or Ice Cream? Cake 100%!
Iced Coffee or Hot Coffee? Hot coffee; we have a coffee station in our bathroom, and the day doesn’t start before my Nespresso
Beach or Mountains? Beach, all day
Puzzle or Board Game? Board Game……I like to laugh
Wine or a Cocktail (if cocktail, which one?) Aperol Spritz in the Summer, French 75 in the Winter, and a Bloody Mary on the plane so I can land with extra swollen ankles
Reading or writing? Writing!
Before bed: Social media or book/TV? TV
Watch or play sports? Play
Stay in or go out? Love going out, but definitely have morphed more into a home body, especially in the summer when the pool is open and the fireflies are out
Comedy or Drama? Comedy
