How old are your kids and how long have you lived in Westport? My kids Max and Henry are 9 and 7 years old. We moved to Westport in 2020. Part of the pandemic flight out of NYC 🙂
How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I am a lawyer and started my career as a sex crimes prosecutor (like SVU) in Brooklyn. I went on to work at nonprofits providing legal representation to survivors of sexual violence and sex trafficking. Today I am the Policy Director at a national nonprofit – World Without Exploitation (WorldWE). WorldWE is an advocacy organization focused on passing laws to help survivors of sex trafficking and educating the public about the harms of sex trafficking and prostitution, and how the Internet is facilitating sex trafficking and exploitation. I work in states all over the country attempting to improve the laws in this country.
What is the best show you have recently (binge) watched? AND/OR what is the last book you read? Fargo season 5 on Hulu was SO good. I recently read and really enjoyed None of this is True by Lisa Jewell.
What are two things still on your bucket list? Getting over my fear of skiing when I go on ski trips with my family and friends. I will someday get down a Blue without crying 🙂
And visiting Japan.

What’s a cause or purpose you deeply believe in? Since my life is dedicated to fighting sex trafficking and achieving full gender equality – a world free from sexual violence and exploitation of women, I’ll go with that one 🙂
What is your favorite family tradition? I grew up going to Martha’s Vineyard every summer with my parents and sisters. I love bringing my boys there and seeing how connected they feel to the Island also. And despite my fear of skiing, I love ski trips with my husband and kids.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I don’t know but I think I curse too much in front of my kids
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I’ve been both sky diving and bungee jumping in Australia/New Zealand! Or that I’ve had Type 1 Diabetes since I was 6 years old.
If you weren’t doing what you are today, what might your career path have been? A journalist or working in politics
Are you a morning person, or a night owl? How does sleep fit into your life? Morning person. I pass out by 10:30 most nights after my kids extensive bedtime routine
What thing has surprised you most about being in the suburbs? I love it! I was born in Brooklyn and lived in either Brooklyn or Manhattan for 30 years (only leaving for my 4 years of college in Boston). I never thought I would be anything other than a city person. But I love the calm and quiet of Westport. I love being near the beach, and am so grateful for the close friends I’ve made here. I have also been so lucky to work with my fellow Westport mamas and friends to start “No Stone Unturned” which organizes charity shopping events in town. It’s been such a fun and rewarding outlet!
