How old are your kids and how long have you lived in the area? Penelope is 5 Marcus is 3 We have lived in Fairfield for 4 years this June

  1. What has been the most difficult age with your children to date? What helped you overcome the challenges at that time? I feel as though each age presents challenges and breakthroughs at the very same time. What has helped me through each of these is embracing the breakthroughs and knowing that the challenges will change the moment I get a handle on them anyway! Knowing this helps me stay sane =)

What is your favorite family activity to do in Westport or the surrounding towns? Beach time! Westport and Fairfield are loaded with fabulous family activities but the highlight of living here for us is being by the beach. Fridays evenings at the beach with family, friends and pizza is at the top of our list!
What was your most memorable family vacation and why? Camping is probably the most memorable. We went for two nights with another family. We did not glamp- we camped. We slept in tents, cooked over campfire, hiked in the woods, roasted marshmallows and kept our coolers in the trunk. It was awesome and both my kids still talk about it.
What is the best white lie you have told your kids? That candy is spicy and you don’t care for spicy food. Let’s have something else to snack on. Works every time!
What is your proudest mommy moment? I answer questions with the real answers and I recognize how much I’m learning from my kids. I respect these little munchkins and appreciate how much I’m growing being their mom. I feel proud about that.
What’s your favorite app right now- for you- and for your kids? I love ARTKIVE. It’s an app that archives all your kids artwork and also can create gifts from the pieces saved. You can categorize by child/age/year. LOVE. The Toca apps for the kids are a hit.
What’s your can’t live without beauty product? Environ Avance Peptide Moisturizer.
What’s your favorite restaurant for a family dinner? A night out with friends? Colony Grill for the family. I love Geronimo, The Whelk, Gray Goose and Artisan in the summer!
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I studied Energy Medicine for four years to become an energy medicine practioner.
If you weren’t doing what you are today, what do you think your career path might have been? Naturopathic doctor or on the complete opposite end I would be a great female contractor.
If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted – what would you do? That list would be too long
What is your most marked characteristic? Compassionate
What do you most value in your friends? An open heart
What is your greatest regret? I don’t believe in regrets
What is one piece of advice you would pass along to other moms? Let go of the self-judgement and make time for self-care
How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I believe in the journey. Every situation opens up new doors. I began my career in makeup and hair and each opportunity brought me to new heights and experiences in my career. I followed my passion which brought me from hair and makeup to skin care to wellness to energy work and most recently, my colleague Amie Barrett and I are offering oncology esthetics to help women who are undoing cancer treatments at New Beauty & Wellness Spa in Westport.
