We LOVE Westport, and that’s why we are thrilled to launch our first ever “Light Up Westport!” “The Light Up Westport Appreciation Project” is a fundraising initiative where members of our community can send luminaries and personalized notes of gratitude and friendship to friends, local businesses and first responders. We have all been through so much in the past year and even small gestures of appreciation can have a huge impact on community pride. We have partnered together on this with Ali Dorfman, founder of Purpose 2 Purchase, whose platform is helping to make this initiative a reality!
On February 10th at 7PM, all participants will be asked to place the luminary in front of their homes, stores or headquarters so we can light up this incredible town TOGETHER. We then ask all of you to share your photos on social media and tag #lightupwestport. The luminary kits will be available for sale at https://purpose2purchase.com/collections/wspt-luminaries and thanks to dozens of volunteers, they will be delivered the day before the event. Appreciation luminary kits include a WSPT luminary, note card and LED tea light and are available for $10. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Filling in the Blanks (https://www.fillingintheblanks.org) a local non-profit that helps fight childhood hunger by providing weekend meal bags to children in need.
