    • Wakeman’s Teen Summer Service Program runs in two-week increments starting in late June. Participants in grades 6-9 grow the vegetables that they will donate to local food pantries and sell at the program’s Farm’s weekly market. As part of our service mission, we will cook a nutritious meal for the Gillespie Center. For animal lovers, there is animal care, feeding, and halter training. We explore farm life, composting, creating a pollinator garden, and adopting the Zero Waste initiative. All Covid safety measures in effect.
    • Little Farmers, Parent-Child Class, ages 0-3. Eight, one-hour sessions starting in late June. Sign up for as many days/sessions as you’d like! Weekly enrichment class designed to foster social skills and independence on the Farm’s grounds. Soccer Camp

Flag Football Camp

  • Description: Learn position-specific drills focusing on hand-eye coordination, lateral movement, change of direction during play, blocking skills, and form tackling with a focus on injury prevention.  Combine type training: 40-yard dash, shuttle drill, gauntlet, etc. Speed, agility, and quickness training emphasizing proper running form, footwork, conditioning, cone drills and the fundamentals of the game all while having fun playing flag football.

    • Competitive Camp: For fencers who have trained for 6 months or more and are looking to take their game to a more competitive level. All of our instructors are American Red Cross lifeguards with certifications in CPR and First Aid with teaching and/or competitive swim experience. Lessons are scheduled at the convenience of our swimmers. We teach all ages from 18 months – 108 years old starting Memorial Day Weekend – Labor Day weekend.

Broadway Junior Workshops

  • Description: Our skilled nature mentors will introduce your child to primitive and naturalist skills by tailoring each camp day to match the natural curiosity of their campers. Campers learn how to craft handmade tools and art projects from natural materials, track animals, identify bird language, make friction fires, build forts and shelters, and forage for safe wild edibles. Along the way, all campers learn nature-inspired games, songs, and have free time to explore streams, mountainsides, and other unexpected nature mysteries encountered throughout the day.
