Local Charities…for the Holidays..and Always

Around the holidays especially, so many of us have organizations – or causes – we like to support in any way we can, whether it’s by giving our time or money. Some of these causes may be ones near and dear to our hearts for personal reasons, while others are just focused on a mission we believe in, and want to stand for. Out here in Fairfield County, there are a tremendous number of incredible organizations that are always looking for additional support. So, in case you are wondering if there are organizations locally where you – and maybe even your children – can provide support this holiday season – or anytime really – we have put together the following list.PLEASE contact us at [email protected] with any others you would like to see added.

With love, M&M

Staples Tuition Grants – For the past 80 years, our mission has been to help Staples High School graduates with a demonstrated financial need attend college, university or trade school. Many residents don’t realize how great the need is here in Westport. Our donors come from the community of Westport – both current and past residents – and last year we were able to award $400,000 in grants to 108 Staples High school graduates, with almost 10% coming from Class of 2022. Our recipients are those that your readers interact with every day such as babysitters, camp counselors, lifeguards, baristas, staff at local retails and restaurants in town and more.
