Meet Aimee - Westport Moms

How old are your kids and how long have you lived in the area? Jayme is 5. We lived in Westport for 2.5 years and moved to Weston last June, so total we’ve been in the area for almost four years.

How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I’ve just been following my passion to help women live their best and most vital life possible. And it has led me to become the author of 3 books, the owner of three booming acupuncture clinics (the third one being my Westport office which I just launched), the founder of an organic skincare line, Aimee Raupp Beauty, and an online natural fertility expert who gets to serve and inspire women all over the world.

What 3 things do you keep on your nightstand? OR What 3 things are in your car at all times? Nightstand: Mag-Ease Oil (from my line, Aimee Raupp Beauty), Sweet Love Butter (again from my line, it’s a fertility-friendly lubricant) and Lip Butter (again by my line- I may be biased but it’s the best)

In the car: Bug Shield (aka nontoxic, effective bug spray), Healthy Hands (nontoxic and effective hand sanitizer), and Lip Butter (again, all from my line, Aimee Raupp Beauty)

What’s your favorite app right now- for you- and for your kids? I’m loving my Peloton app.  For Jaymes, ABC Mouse.

What is one food you could not live without? Bone broth!

What are you most excited about in life right now? Witnessing all the growth and transformation in my family and my business. It’s SO FUN!

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I had a pretty severe eating disorder in college that was probably the biggest impetus to where I am at career and health-wise today.

If you weren’t doing what you are today, what do you think your career path might have been? A medical doctor/research scientist. That’s where I was headed before I took a b-line to Chinese Medicine school

If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted to do, what would it be? Exercise, Meditate, Kayak with my boys on the Long Island sound then relax at the beach with my family and close friends with some good food and organic wine. Maybe Id throw a massage in there somewhere too 🙂

What is your most marked characteristic? Tenacity

What was your most memorable family vacation and why? Before we moved out of the city, we rented a home on the water in Mystic, CT for a week- it was magical. That vacation was the Connecticut awakening for me (my husband already knew how amazing CT was) and is a big reason why we left the city and moved up here.

What is the best white lie you have told your kids? That his mac and cheese is really just mac and cheese….when it’s actually spiked with vegetables, an egg, real full fat cheese, and just a touch of that powdered stuff.  OR that his chocolate popsicles are fudgesicles when they’re really made with steamed zucchini and raw cacao!

Are you a morning person, or a night owl? How does sleep fit into your life right now? I LOVE my mornings AND I LOVE my sleep.  We sleep from 1030-630 or 11-7.

What thing has surprised you most about being in the suburbs? How much I don’t miss city life.

What is the first thing you do when you walk in the door after a long day? Straighten the pillows on the couch.

What is one thing you can’t leave home without? These days: my mask, Aimee Raupp Beauty Lip Butter and Healthy Hands Hand Sanitizer

Who in your life was – or is – the greatest inspiration for what you’re doing today? My parents.  I know that may be cliche, but it’s true. They were both entrepreneurs before it was cool and both always followed their passion career-wise while raising my brother and I and while having a fun, loving, and exciting marriage.  They showed me how it can be done and how to think outside the box.
