Local family entertainment center has pumped new energy into Norwalk with Pump It Up, part of the nation’s largest franchise of giant, indoor inflatable playgrounds available for private children’s birthday parties and events for sports teams, schools, field trips, parents’ night out, and other outings.

“Kids throughout the Norwalk area love coming to Pump It Up because it’s such an energetic, colorful and fun experience,” said Lauren Tebbenhoff, spokesperson for Pump It Up. “Our huge inflatable playground is so exciting and upbeat, that even adults are attracted to the idea of jumping in a bounce house.”

A wonderland of multi-colored inflatables, Pump It Up is the original facility of its kind. Guests are treated to two large indoor arenas filled with a large variety of exciting, challenging and brightly colored inflatable structures that stand almost two stories high.  Children can jump and tumble on a custom inflatable bounce house, slide, obstacle course, basketball bounce, gauntlet and more.  There is even an inflatable throne in the party room, reserved for the birthday person, as well as other fun games and experiences like glow, bubble extravaganza and balloon drops – guaranteed to add an extra level of excitement to any party.

Over the past year, Pump It Up has received new management and many new rides, attractions and experiences. On Sunday, June 11 from 4:30 to 8 pm, Pump It Up will be hosting a grand reopening celebration to show families in the Norwalk area just how fun any visit can be. This family-friendly event will include jump time inside both inflatable bounce rooms, a live DJ, face painting, magicians, contests and more. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Harry Rilling will take place at 5 pm, followed by a special reading from Avantika, a first grade student who shared a positive reflection with her teacher, Ms. Christine Tischbien.

Admission is $5 per child (parents play free) with all proceeds donated to KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support), a non-profit providing music education to at-risk children in Bridgeport, CT. “We are thrilled to be working with Pump It Up to increase awareness for our music education programs and to bring music to the lives of children,” said Assistant Executive Director, Laurie Bradbury.

Pump It Up of Norwalk, located at 145 Main Street, is open 7 days a week and can be reached at 203-838-5867.
