Winter Activities & Events

With the winter upon us, we have put together some local activities and adventures, as well as when is best to book these.   • Family Festivities Musicals at The Westport County Playhouse – Don’t miss the incredible Family Festivities Musicals at the Westport Playhouse, which continue with Charlotte’s Web in February and culminate with The Pout-Pout Fish in March! All shows are on Sundays, run 1 hour in length, and have a 1pm and 4pm show. TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
  • Ice Skating:
    • Longshore Ice Rink (outdoor) – skate rentals (and sharpening) available for kids and adults; group lessons also offered. Ice rink opens on Friday, November 24th! 
    • Sportsplex Ice Rink (indoor) – year round lessons and skating available for kids and adults. Class sessions begin week of November 13th.

      • Stepping Stones – Stepping Stones offers interactive learning experiences as well as a variety of exhibits for children from birth to 7 years and older. 303 West Avenue Norwalk, CT 06850
    • Visit CT Sugarhouses – Learn and watch how New England maple syrup is made and taste test a variety of syrups.

    • Cooking and Baking Workshops for Kids. – Hands on workshops for kids of all levels who are interested in learning how to cook or bake.

    • The GIANT Room – “The GIANT Room is a new innovation space for tiny New Yorkers with big dreams.” The GIANT Room offers a playful environment for kids aged 3 – 12 to discover new workshops, programs, and ideas. 550 W. 28th Street New York, NY.

    • Museum of Ice Cream – This museum is all about ice cream. Featuring sweet installations, including a sprinkle pool and three-story slide, fun for the whole family is guaranteed! 558 Broadway, New York, NY 10012
    • National Geographic Encounter – “Walk-through underwater experience with lifelike animations of humpback whales, squid & sea lions.” 226 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036
    • Museum of Illusions – Tour their collection of playful optical illusions and holograms enjoyable for all ages
