Southern Connecticut musician, Dan Tressler, has been making sound waves in New England and beyond for over 25 years. His involvement with his “Family Band” (The Jackson Pike Skifflers) was where it all began. He joined his uncle on fiddle to create a unique double fiddle sound and ultimately changed over to mandolin. He also contributed deep harmony vocals with Mother and Father. Soon after the family performances began… a Reggae band, and a bluegrass rock band is where Dan would also be seen singing and sawing away. Years later he spent many days touring and performing with The String Fingers Band and most recently the duo group called Amber Anchor. He has contributed vocal and fiddle tracks upon 25+ albums and is busy with studio projects weekly. Dan can be seen playing public shows as a solo artists or with Amber Anchor at many different farms, markets, stores and art events but he says he spends most of his music time playing weddings and private parties nowadays. Nonetheless, if you hear his voice from afar, come close… he will always play a song for everyone in his extensive repertoire and the smiles will rise.
