Meet Jen Tooker!
Though Jen Tooker – Westport mom of three – once dreamed of having 6 kids and of being a professional soccer player, she could not be more excited about running with Jim Marpe for the Board of Selectmen this November. After 22 years working for a reinsurance company and traveling the world (including London for 12 years!), she decided it was time to serve her community through public service – and she remains committed to doing so. When Jen is not on the campaign trail, she loves days with her family in their 20 foot wooden canoe, and being present for her kids – whenever they may need her. We were honored to talk to Jen, and are grateful for her passion and commitment to Westport!

Meet Melissa Kane!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock=), you have likely seen and heard that Melissa Kane – Westport mom of two – is running for First Selectwoman this November. After a successful career in writing, followed by owning her own flower and home décor business, Melissa fell into the world of local politics – and it was love at first debate. Melissa shared her path to the campaign trail with us and why she wants to be our First SelectWoman, as well as some fun tidbits including that she toured with Peter Gabriel as his publicist and got kicked out of sleep-away camp as a teenager! She also likes the meditating App called Headspace which helps make her zen admist all the campaign chaos (sounds like an App some of us moms could use as well:)). Melissa is truly an inspiration to us all and we commend her dedication to Westport!
