Meet Olympic Softball Player and Inspiration, Cat Osterman

Meet Olympic Softball Player and Inspiration, Cat Osterman

When softball star Cat Osterman competed at Athens in 2004, she was the youngest athlete to win a gold medal for Team USA—in fact, she was still a student athlete at the University of Texas. The pitcher won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and she came out of retirement at age 38 to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. While the host team of Japan took gold this year, Cat’s legacy as an inspiration to young girls was cemented by the message she shared after her team’s second place finish. We interviewed her about her experience, and all she’s learned!

Introducing Terrain Health – and why It just may change (and extend!) your life!

Tired of feeling worse than you should?  Bloated, lethargic, sleep-deprived, anxious?  The gastroenterologist Dr. Robin Rose left a thriving practice in Wilton to found Terrain Health because she was discouraged by a broken American healthcare system that practices McMedicine — medicine that emphasizes speed and price over quality and excellence. Terrain Health focuses on treating and preventing disease by integrating advanced testing and medical technology to reveal your unique biochemical individuality.

Is Your Child an Athlete? This Common Injury Is Important to Catch Early

Is Your Child an Athlete? This Common Injury Is Important to Catch Early

After a long winter and a year with more limited activity, many of us are eager to see our kids get back out there, playing sports and getting much needed physical activity!! That said, if your child is an athlete, you’re probably cheering them on one minute – and the next, holding your breath that they don’t get hurt.
Have you heard of sports overuse injuries? These injuries aren’t something you can see from the stands, like a collision or a fall. They start small, and are easy for athletes to ignore at first. If you catch this type of injury early enough, they’re no big deal. But if you wait, an overuse injury can turn into something serious – in the worst case, even impacting your child’s bone growth. So if you have an athlete in your life, what should they – and you – look for?

Meet Chloe

Meet Chloe

A lifelong venture capital investor turned a recent love for working with her hands into a cookie baking company, selling her gluten-free cookie dough on Instagram (@cookiesandsteak). Having left NYC officially when the pandemic hit, Chloe (mom to eight month old Beau!) has never looked back, believing Westport to be a little slice of heaven she feels so fortunate to have found. In her free time (while not baking!), Chloe loves a good beach run, a glass of red wine, and laughing with family and friends. She was a lacrosse player in college, and now spends her days having coffee with some of the top tech entrepreneurs in the world, and her nights with her family and the cookie Dough! Nothing could be better! Welcome to Westport Chloe; we’re so thrilled to have you – and your cookie dough!

Meet Wynter

Meet Wynter

If this last year has taught us anything, it’s that spending excess time with family can be HARD (while simultaneously wonderful), and also that we owe It to ourselves to pursue work that fulfills us. A lifelong actress and mom of two, Wynter’s newest movie, G-D Committee (featuring Julia Stiles and Kelsey Grammar) comes out soon, and most recently, she has also decided to pursue a long-time interest to become a family and marriage therapist and will start school this fall! Wynter left LA 12 years ago to join her husband in CT, and hasn’t looked back. She has loved the lazy mornings of this past year and enjoying her husband’s cooking, though longs for the days of travel and time with girlfriends! Thank you Wynter for reminding us all to take care of us; while it’s not always easy, it’s more important than ever!

Meet Aimee

Meet Aimee

Mom to son Jayme, Aimee has been described as a “fertility detective” following her passion to help women live their best and most vital life. This started with her working to help women mentally, physically and emotionally through acupuncture and has grown as she authored three books, and now has her own organic skincare line, Aimee Raupp Beauty. She originally dreamed of being a doctor or scientist before she turned to the study of Chinese medicine, and the rest is history. Over the years, Aimee has helped thousands of women in her clinics, and is now running online forums to provide support to many who need It. Her products are handmade and fly off the shelves, with some favorites including her hand sanitizer, Mag-ese Oil, and Lip Butter! In her spare time, she loves kayaking on the river, her Peloton and swears by Bone Broth! She is kindhearted, creative, and credits her entrepreneurial spirit to her parents, both entrepreneurs before It was “cool” to be one!
